Admissions

Student admission is largely first-come-first-served; however, the suitability of the program for individual applicants will be considered and priority will be given to students who are not currently enrolled in school. A review of the academic record and academic skills testing may be done in order to properly determine suitability of the program for individual students.

  • Students in grades 6-12 may participate; however, students must be younger than age 21 on August 31st in order to participate. Students age 21 and older should consider the adult education program at the local community college.

  • Students seeking a diploma may attend. Students seeking a GED may be accepted on a specific, case by case basis. Most students working towards a GED will be directed to either the Graduation Alliance Program or toward the local community college program. All GED students must transfer to the college in the end in order to complete their GED.

Enrollment

  • Students in the program can take some classes at the local high school or through Running Start as indicated in their SLP. Our goal is to provide a flexible program, individualized for each student’s needs; however, transportation between the two campuses is provided by the family except in certain specific circumstances.

  • Students must maintain satisfactory progress towards their Student Learning Plan (SLP) goals to remain enrolled in the program. Students with unsatisfactory or unacceptable progress will be placed on probation. Students not making progress can only remain on probation for two months. Students who do not improve while on probation will be required to change placement back to the "brick and mortar" school.
